Deep inside the scriptoriums, or writing rooms, of medieval monasteries, monks and nuns carefully created illuminated manuscripts, preserving the ideals of truth, goodness, and beauty in a world laid waste by famine and strife. Today, in a world laid waste by cheap plastic and fast food, you can add some truth, goodness, and beauty to your own life by becoming a Companion of the Scriptorium.

Each month, Companions will be mailed a print of my latest illumination and a reflection on the style, on the production of the pigments, and on the history behind it. This is a wonderful way to add more contemplation to your life, to expose your children to art, or to give a thoughtful gift to your friends.
